Mainfreight began it’s operations in Auckland, New Zealand in 1978, soon growing into New Zealand’s most extensive freight network. In 1996, we went public and listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange. To this day, we continue to be one of the best-performing businesses on the New Zealand stock exchange.
In 2000, Mainfreight recognised the potential of China and confirmed this by making an investment in China commencing with our own offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Today our teams operate in nine offices located in Shanghai, Ningbo, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Qingdao, Tianjin, Beijing and Chengdu and we also have two sales offices, in Chongqing and Suzhou.
With the scope of commodities available in China, imports from China to New Zealand continue to grow rapidly while Chinese consumers’ demand for New Zealand products is a massive growth area for our economy and our business.
Our Air & Ocean services are our biggest offerings to our customers based in China, we also provide comprehensive global supply chain services for our customers, including warehousing, transportation and distribution.
Our customers in New Zealand & China come from a broad range industries and sectors including Food & Beverage, FMCG, High-Tech, Perishables and Pharmaceuticals.
With our completed global network, we offer a one-stop service between export and import in New Zealand or China. Our aim is to continue growing our footprint across China & other countries in Asia to ensure our customers freight experience is managed within the Mainfreight network.
